Dj Thanksgiving

A giant shout out goes to the homie Dj Highnoone!  I was blessed to attend Dj Thanksgiving 2018 at his home earlier this evening and it was a damn fine event.  Scratch sessions with dj’s galore and an amazing spread of flavors and drinks.  Too many notable appearances to list names but I can guarantee that this will become a yearly event that I will not miss.

I played for a family wedding in Hutchinson this past  Saturday and it was awesome.  I always enjoy returning to my hometown  to spread love and play music .  My cousin Dominique Hoover and his lovely wife Sidney looked very happy together and although it was a damn cold weekend, seeing my aunts and uncles and distant cousins made it all worth it.

This weekend I play a new venue in Lawrence and I hope you all can join me @ Crystal’s Spot.  I’ve been busy making beats and working on some original music so stay tuned.  The Proof is in the pudding!

Proof Progress

Is it me or did the summer turn to winter?  I mean it’s all been a blur and I feel very fortunate to be staying busy.  Countless gigs and great events have taken over the past several months.  I have to congratulate Michael and Alex Bierbaum on their amazing wedding ceremony and reception this past Saturday, October 20th.  I was honored to provide the sounds and it was truly an amazing evening!  This weekend back to Audio Alchemy at the Taproom and then I travel to Hutchinson to play music for my familia  at Nick Conrad’s wedding reception.  The Proof is in the Pudding!  Happy Halloween!

The end of May

It’s hard to believe we are at the end of May for 2018.  There have been a lot of great shows and turntable sessions with fellow cut master Tony Markham and my new affiliation, KC Scratchers.  I played a refreshing set with KC Hip Hop legend Negro Scoe and got to rock alongside of Aproach and Lincoln Marshall as well as ID from Archetype.  At the very beginning of the month I was honored to open for an amazing MC and now friend, Count Bass D!  Rest assured Hip Hop and real skills are alive in the midwest and with these tools of mine I’ve been deleting stress, oh yes!  Stay tuned as June promises to keep up the pace with a couple wedding gigs and a return to my hometown to play the Our Lady of Guadalupe Fiesta Car Show 2018.  The Proof is in the Pudding!

May in LFK!

It’s hard to believe but it’s May already.  Spring has sprung and the Proof is in the pudding.  I’ll be headed to Hutchinson for a family event for my Aunt Kathy on Cinco De Mayo!  The rest of the month is full of club gigs and graduation parties.  I’m looking forward to the change in weather and catching up with you all at my monthly spots in Lawrence and at the end of the month @ KC Riot Room.  I’ve been keeping very busy in the studio and more audio is on the way.  Thanks for your continued support.  Peace!
